ArcGIS™ has now become the industry standard GIS data and interpretation tool for geoscientists in the petroleum exploration industry. Displaying and storing data from different sources throughout the company in a GIS layered system is of great benefit to the interpreter and data manager alike.
GETECH routinely delivers data products in formats suitable for inclusion in an ArcGIS™ project (grids, shape files, geotiffs, etc.).
GETECH provides specific GIS data packages on a country-by-country basis (or smaller regions) as required.
These packages contain geotiff images of gravity and magnetic data (including derivative fields) together with other information in an ArcGIS™ project.

GETECH has assisted several major oil companies in setting up ArcGIS™ exploration projects by converting grids into appropriate formats, generating geotiffs from gridded data, scanning and geo-referencing maps and images, hotlinking images such as cross sections to profile locations, hotlinking report documents in pdf format, digitising interpretations and converting to shape files.
